Drumline

Drum line is a year-long course that gives students the opportunity to explore this high-intensity style of percussion.  The course is aimed at developing percussion technique, reading and interpreting music, mastering basic and intermediate rudiments, and ultimately performing cadences in front of a variety of school and public audiences.

Course attendance requirements include both practices and performances.  Because Bateman Drum line is a continuation of the Clayburn Middle Drum line Program, course participants should have at least 2 years of experience playing percussion. As an alternative, students who have a strong music background in a different instrument (with strong music reading skills) may also be accepted.

This is an extended-day course.
