MARVEL

What is the Marvel Program?
The MARVEL Support Program offers a classroom setting for students with mental health
challenges that need social-emotional and academic support. The primary goal is to act as an
environment where students feel safe to explore coping strategies necessary to manage
symptoms of anxiety and depression. We encourage increased, regular attendance and
engagement in the academic setting. Students are placed into the program through referral from
school administration if the students’ social-emotional well-being is affected to a degree that
inhibits their success in an academic setting. MARVEL is equipped with a teacher and a youth
care worker. Contracted outside agencies are available at least once a week during school hours
for students to build supportive relationships with students. Contact Nimret Dosanjh for more
information.
