January 31, 2025

Good morning,

Thank you for sending your child with their new schedule on Monday. Because everyone was so well prepared, we’ve had a very smooth transition to Semester Two.

Report cards will be published on MyEd today around noon. Watch for the emailed message from Robert Bateman with instructions.

We had over 250 students attend Learning Enhancement Days on January 23 and 24. Students received one-on-one support from EAs and support workers, re-took tests and improved assignments to show their learning with classroom teachers, and spent time in extension groups, exploring new opportunities and planning for Semester Two initiatives.

Students do not need to wait until April or June to get help and improve their learning. Students can use LET (Learning Enhancement Time, formerly “flex”) twice every week for re-learning, re-testing, and extending learning with their subject teachers.

Struggling in a subject? See an EA, support worker, or teacher in LET!

Looking for a learning challenge? See an EA, support worker, or teacher in LET!

Stay safe,

Mrs. Jennifer Koehler

Principal, Robert Bateman Secondary School
